Ealing Cycling Campaign
2012 Rides & Events Programme

To be alerted to future rides sign up to our newsletter click here

We offer all sorts of rides to suit all ages and abilities, participants come from all walks of life with women riders particularly well represented.

Our Gentle Rides run on the third Sunday of each month, April through to September and are perfect for beginners and accompanied children on their own bike, on child seats or in trailers. They consist of a short ride at a very relaxed pace to a local park or beauty spot for a picnic.

Our Leisurely Rides are particularly well suited to those looking for a full day out on the bike to take in the scenery at a relaxed pace. These run on the first Sunday of each month and more often during the summer months.

Gentle and Leisurely rides go at the speed of the slowest riders in the group, so nobody is left behind!

Our Speedy Rides are ad-hoc, longer distance rides (50+ miles) catering for the more experienced cyclist looking for a challenge.

Though we aim to take a common sense approach to safety on our rides, all those attending do so at their own risk. Always remember to wear suitable clothing and bring your lights and a pump. A spare inner tube is always a good idea.

This easy-paced ride takes in Bedford Park near Turnham Green and the Brentham Estate in North Ealing.

Your ride leader will provide some historical background, and point out town planning and architectural features of interest as we cruise through quiet residential streets. You can then decide which estate's claim is the stronger.

A classic London cycle ride featured in the London Cycling Guide (http://www.amazon.co.uk/London-Cycling-Guide-Tom-Bogdanowicz/dp/1847739342/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1326707475&sr=1-1).
