Despite the threat of snow, 17 riders gathered
at Ealing Town Hall (and
nobody dropped out enroute). There was a brief snow flurry at Black
Park,
but otherwise the weather was fine and generally sunny; the main bugbear
was the cold headwind coming home.
On the way to Black Park our route included (some very) obscure paths, a
field, quiet side roads, country lanes, 50 yards beside a canal, and
Sustran route 61 (though brief diversion needed on latter due to
flooding).
Hot food at the lakeside cafe in Black Park was welcome, and there was
time
for a stroll around the lake before returning. We used cycle routes to
get
through Uxbridge town center without too much traffic, then followed the
cycle path beside the A40 to Perivale Park, then through Pitshanger Park
and more side roads back to Ealing Town Hall (only 4 people left at this
stage since everyone else had peeled off as they got near their homes).
32 miles overall - a pleasant leisurely ride.

Thanks to Murray for leading and Ben for back
stopping.
