| Seven hardy souls met at
Slough railway station to explore the Berkshire lanes. Before leaving
the station, we paid a quick visit to Jim the stuffed dog.
Rain threatened, but had the good grace to fall only while we were
> enjoying the hospitality of the White Horse pub in pretty Hedgerley
village. Next stop was the new grass-roofed cafe in Burnham Beeches
nature reserve. We were musically entertained by two pipe organ
grinders in costume.
Finally we whizzed gently downhill back to Slough to the start.
Thanks to Phil for leading
16 miles.
