Richmond Sunset 2007

Ready to ride

Another great turn out of 25 riders, many of whom had simply found the ride on the website or been attracted by a Bike Week flyer. Every year we get some more new faces which is excellent.

We sped off down South Ealing and into Brentford using our tried and trusted route before heading into Syon Park, through Isleworth and along the river - we hit Richmond and got to the Roebuck ahead of time.

The group split with the bulk going for a spin around Richmond Park whilst some stayed behind to chat to a CTUK trainer who had just left from Ealing Doctor Bike.

The other LCC groups started to appear as the sun set, just time for a group photograph and few hurried words with them before the glow sticks were whipped out and we headed north for home. The group split by accident but we remet and threaded our way through the back streets of Richmond . Being so traffic free it was nice to be able to catch up with some of the new riders.

We hit Kew and before we knew it were back in Ealing. It was still early so a few us stopped for a final drink in the Rose before heading home.

12 miles.

Thanks to Martin for leading and David for back stop.
