Ride out into north London for a dip in the outside ponds

On the return journey from Highgate Hill last month we rode through Hampstead Heath and past the bathing ponds. No one really believed any one swam there except one member who regularly takes to the water there. A challenge was laid down and Agnieszka duly led a ride back there to prove it was possible.

Six people took up the offer and turned out for the swim whilst most people in the borough were still considering which Sunday paper to buy and return to bed with. Precise details are scant and the only photograph of the day suggests people did enter the water and get their hair wet.
