Family Borough Ride

Yearly venture around the Borough for families

Picnic in the park

As usual we had our trip around the borough using our 10 mile loop taking in the quiet and traffic free roads as much as possible.

A smaller band than normal - two people from Hounslow, a CTC'er from Kingston and a pair from the Parson's Green Greenfest pitched up with three ECC members. The distribution of stickers and slappits ensued before heading off around the town.

No real events, but the goats were out in the allotments near the Fox pub, and the Bunny Park was in full swing for refreshments. The only issue was trying to cross one road where the toucan crossing was not working, never easy with children but the drivers seemed laid back enough to let us over.

We made it to Pitshanger Park with no problems only to discover a fair going strong - which proved a useful distraction for some of us. A gentle cycle road home up the only hill and back home after handing out the Bike Week certificates.

Intresting idea being kicked around now of copying the Merton CC events of cycle training and simple bike maintenance around the borough on some weekends. Something to mull over anyway.
